cafeine IMPROVES memory

Caffeine improves memory for up to 24 hours after eating , in accordance with a new U.S. scientific research.
It is the first time I found ...
such a long-term effect on memory. Until now, few investigations have been done in this field , had concluded that caffeine has little or no effect on memory in relevant over time .
The researchers , led by professor of psychological and brain sciences Jascha Michael Johns Hopkins University , did an experiment . Participants who did not drink in the past often products with caffeine , were asked to take either a placebo pill ( placebo ) or a pill of 200 milligrams of caffeine , but they had previously studied a series of images for five minutes.
The next day, the researchers looked at the ability of volunteers to remember the pictures they had seen the previous day . Better memory , as shown by the test , those who had had taken caffeine .
However , it seems that the correct dose plays a role , because when the experiment was repeated with caffeine 100 or 300 milligrams , there was the same mnemonics and additionally , in the second case , observed and expected symptoms of hyperstimulation .
The memory center in the brain is the hippocampus , which is why most scientific research on memory focus on precisely this brain region .
The new study was different from previous experiments , because participants took caffeine , since they had seen and tried to memorize the images . In previous studies , caffeine was given in advance , but this led to confusion whether any improvement of memory was indeed the same caffeine or other factors ( eg, intensity of attention ) .
It is estimated that 90 % of people worldwide consume caffeine in one form or another , most daily. Indication, the U.S. average adult consumes about 200 milligrams of caffeine a day , ie the same amount allocated to experimental research on improving memory . This amounts to a large cup of strong coffee or two smaller .
Michael Jascha (who has now moved to the University of California ) , now intends to study the specific biological mechanisms by which caffeine is good for memory. As he said, " we also know that caffeine is associated with healthy longevity and may have a protective effect in Alzheimer's disease ."
Other scientists , however , as Jon Saimons University of Cambridge , appeared skeptical and felt that further data from other studies on a larger population sample , confirming the new finding .
